Antoine Mwendia is a passionate emerging Artist from Nairobi, Kenya. His Artistic journey began since a tender age and sometimes believes he was born with a paint brush in his hands. He has loved and appreciated art since a young age as he was raised in a community defined by craftmanship and painting.

He discovered his artistic talent while effortlessly sketching pencil drawings in elementary school and has practiced art since.

He majors his work in realistic depiction of life and capturing stories that affect people in our society.

His mode of art is depicted as the basic human nature for harmony, balance, beauty and learning. He desires to connect the community to culture, foster peace and attract an array of audience eager and willing to learn. His major goal is to see artists collaborate for a common course, making the interior of our homes alive while providing a sense of joy.

His work is majorly characterized by vibrant colors and nonchalant figures set against a flattened space representing triumph and victory over unfavorable prejudices. He prides himself as a diverse thinker who enjoys seeing people smile and bringing joy to the environment.

Antoine studied art and design in Nairobi at BuruBuru Institute of Fine Arts (BIFA), where he got a certificate in Art and design. He likes working with oils, Acrylic and watercolor paints and has also majored in portrait drawings. He draws his inspiration from both modern and traditional forms of art.

He loves to take opportunities to delve deeper into topics explored across time periods, cultures and geographic regions such as equality and freedom, social inclusion, and human rights that we find particularly interesting and important, while building skills in effective art, historical research, and critical analysis. He is also an Environmentalist and takes pleasure in tree planting around his community.

Antoine believes if you take care of mother nature, she will reciprocate the gesture
